The GateHouse Approach: Adults in Recovery

The first priority of our drug rehab program for adults is to find common ground with each client. For some, maybe it’s finishing or continuing their education. Others may be looking to reestablish relationships. Still others may be trying to find a new career path. GateHouse also believes family involvement is integral and an important part of addiction treatment for adults. Finally, GateHouse has experienced tremendous success with our widely respected evidence-based treatment format, employing assessments/therapies like these in our drug rehab program for adults:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Male group therapy session

Components of Treatment

Age-Specific Care—GateHouse staff assesses where our clients are developmentally, and creates a treatment program based on their developmental needs.

Individualized Treatment—After undergoing a comprehensive assessment, the clinical staff develops an individualized treatment program to meet the needs of each client.

Family Program—Anyone close to a struggling loved one can also sense the impact of addiction. Educating family members and friends about addiction allows the healing to happen together.

Commitment to Change—Developing a sustainable system of values and beliefs is the initial step in providing a base for this change. The client must work with family members and the GateHouse team to develop and maintain these values.

Developing Life Skills—GateHouse teaches the coping skills necessary to help individuals overcome barriers so they can continue on the road to defining their own identity.

Reclaiming Values—Gatehouse helps clients rediscover and restore values they have discarded by teaching the importance of personal responsibility and accountability.

Reestablishing Lost Relationships—Establishing healthy relationships in a safe, sober community is vital to the individual’s commitment to change and long-term sobriety.
